Why boudoir photography?

THE "WHY?"
I’ve had a camera in my hands for more than 20 years, but it wasn’t until 2017 that I found my true calling in boudoir photography. Before that, I was doing it all—families, kids, newborns—whatever paid the bills. I loved photography, but somewhere along the way, I lost my spark. I was tired, burnt out, and honestly, ready to hang it up. Then I shot my first boudoir session.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that day would change everything. As the session unfolded, I watched my client—an exhausted woman who barely recognized herself—transform. Her posture shifted. Her eyes lit up. And when I showed her the back of my camera, she whispered, “That can’t be me.” I was hooked. Since then, I’ve heard that same phrase again and again:
“That can’t be me.”
“I never knew I could look like that.”
“You have no idea what this has done for me.”
And every time, it hits me just as hard. I’ve had clients cry happy tears during their image reveals—because we’re so used to seeing ourselves through the lens of insecurity and unrealistic beauty standards. Boudoir shatters that. It shows you what’s always been there: your power, your beauty, your worth. And honey, yes—you ARE enough. Watching women walk in feeling nervous and leave strutting out the door saying, “I’m F*CKING HOT!” (true story) is what I live for. That, and my family.
THE RESUME
I’ve specialized in boudoir for nearly 10 years now. I trained in Chicago with a Nikon Ambassador and international boudoir photographer, and I currently work with her mentor—two powerhouse women who push me to keep leveling up. I constantly reinvest in my education, my gear, and my sets to give you the best experience possible. I will never stop pushing to be better—for you and for myself.
